Work is in the air.

NO! Stop it, I have no date for Valentine's Day.

12 February 2009, Thursday:

Working.
I worked five hours for free this time. We'll always have to start from dirty jobs, but it's all worthwhile.
Farhan came down with Khai and we were at the opened area, where they smoked.
I only recalled I hadn't had my dinner when aunty Florence asked me. Farhan asked if I wanted to grab a bite at Mcdonalds before heading home, but there were quite a lot of leftovers for that night, so we saved some money on that.
I helped out with closing, and Farhan kindly sent me home. Luckily he brought an extra helmet just in case I stayed till closing.

13 February 2009, Friday:

Working.
I wasn't supposed to work, but Mhars had a reservation for 32. You needn't squint your eyes to see if you got it wrong.
YES, 32 PAX.
So the table for 32 occupied nearly the entire of station A. Thankfully, I was handling station B. The noise generated from them were louder than stereos blasting.

My girls made my day(:

14 February 2009, Saturday:

Happy Valentine's Day.

I was really sleepy when I got to Fish & Co. this morning. The greetings I received wasn't of much help. Haha, everyone was just too tired.
Jean: (to Nadz) Hi.
Jean: (to Mhars) Hi.
Mhars: Hi, darling.
Nadz: Hi.
Nadz: Happy Valentine's.
Jean: Happy Valentine's.
Then he dragged himself to staff lounge, sat beside aunty Julie, and slammed his face on the table and grumbled.

I think I am right.

Khai was the coordinator and he was so professional-looking. Not like those chefs in high-end restaurants with tall hats and white robes, though. Haha.

While I was preparing new batch of sauces.
Nadz: (pointing to one chilli dip) Who did this? See, lonely. *Smiles*
Jean: *Shrugs*
Familiar much?

Morning shift wasn't that pleasant. We all know why.
My mood got better when I started my night shift. Okay, technically, I started at 1615.

Despite being really packed, time seemed to have crawled for me. I was so thirsty I was like a fish out of the water gasping for oxygen. It got really warm in there too. All of us were literally scrambling around, dodging pans, sliding past, slipping between chairs, everything for the sake of being efficient. I think we should get credits for that. Chai came down, and she was so funny. I'm seriously too lazy to elaborate. So I'll leave this as it is.

Let me just list out several mentalities of customers.
Mentality #1:
"Aren't they pitiful? It's so busy I think we shouldn't trouble them so much."
Mentality #2:
"Wow, they look so busy, but they should serve us all the same."
Mentality #3:
"They're busy, but we contribute to GST, so it's only right for them to serve us."
Mentality #4:
"Are you sure it's even busy? It's their job what."

Tiredness is what we all get at the end of Valentine's Day.
Great.
